The Pina Colada, Puerto Rico's National drink, is a creamy, tropical cocktail made with rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice with its origins debated between the Caribe Hilton Hotel and Barrachina restaurant, both in San Juan.
The drink gained global recognition, partly due to the 1979 song "Escape" by Rupert Holmes, which is also known as " The Pina Colada Song".
